The composition is set against a deep field of repeating fleur-de-lis, framed by an ornate border of diamond medallions in warm red and olive tones.

At its base, a Latin banner reads “Sola Virtus Invicta”—“Only virtue is invincible”—adding a poetic and philosophical dimension to the piece.

Woven in a cotton/linen jacquard blend, the tapestry reflects the mid-20th century European revival of Gothic and heraldic design, most commonly produced in Belgian and French weaving houses.
