This Is Home Studio is a full-service interior design studio headquartered in Houston, Texas, with work featured in House & Garden. We design and furnish entire homes, reimagine individual rooms, and offer both in-person and virtual consultations.
Alongside our design work, we offer The Collection—our in-house shop of carefully curated art, objects, and furnishings.
Founded by Luke & Ale, we create layered, soulful spaces shaped by collected pieces, meaningful details, and a belief that home should feel deeply personal — not simply decorated.
Meet Our Founders
This Is Home Studio was founded by Luke and Alejandra (“Ale”) Fortin, following established careers in venture capital and law respectively.
Long before the studio formally existed, Luke and Ale spent years immersed in the world of art and interiors — designing homes for themselves and helping friends and family reimagine spaces of their own.
Over time, they found themselves regularly being asked to help style rooms, source meaningful artwork, uncover special objects, and creatively reimagine existing spaces. Again and again, those around them encouraged them to pursue it more seriously — not simply because of a love for interiors, but because of a natural ability to understand how a home should feel.
Today, that shared passion has evolved into This Is Home Studio: a multidisciplinary design and art practice rooted in the belief that homes should feel layered, personal, and deeply lived in.
